Therapy for Eating Disorder Recovery
One of the most common questions I hear is, “How do you treat an eating disorder?” or “What will help me get better?” While there is no single answer that applies to everyone, one thing is consistently true: a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is often a key part of recovery.
Beginning therapy can feel intimidating. You may feel uncertain about what to expect, or even overwhelmed by the idea of discussing such personal struggles. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel understood, respected, and empowered throughout the recovery process. Therapy is both compassionate and purposeful—providing the warmth, guidance, and accountability needed to challenge the eating disorder and move toward lasting change.
All therapy services are overseen by Wendy Hoyt, PhD. In addition to providing direct clinical care, Dr. Hoyt is committed to training and mentoring therapists who are developing expertise in the treatment of eating disorders. As a result, services may also be provided by carefully selected licensed or pre-licensed therapists who receive ongoing supervision and support to ensure the highest quality of care.
